Full Moon Swim
Is there anything more relaxing than floating on a lake, looking up at the full moon?
We don’t think anything in the UK can come close to this experience. Watch the warm orange glow of the sun setting behind Catbells and Grizedale Pike while the full moon shines down on Derwentwater. Leave the busyness of everday life behind and embrace the tranquility of this special time and place.
We meet on the shores of Derwentwater 45 minutes before the sunset to allow for a full 90 minutes in the water. After swimming we light up the barbecue and enjoy watching the full moon glisten on the lake and light up the fellsides. This experience costs just £49.00 per person, and there are just five chances to catch some moonbeams every year! Your non-swimming friends and family are welcome to join us for the barbecue at a cost of £9.00 per adult and £5.00 for children under 12.
